’Tis the season! As part of holiday tradition and a commitment to the Dallas community, Josh Howard, forward for the Dallas Mavericks, adopts 100 angels from The Salvation Army Cedar Crest Angel Tree. Howard will provide Christmas gifts to all the adopted angels.
Howard grew up in a neighborhood similar to Cedar Crest where he was active at his local Salvation Army community center.
Howard and the Dallas Mavericks have given back to The Salvation Army Cedar Crest Community Center by renovating the center’s basketball gym.

What is your favorite Thanksgiving Dish?
The Salvation Army is getting ready for Thanksgiving Day! This year, we will feed more than 2,000 people in the DFW Metroplex. The meals will include turkey, dressing, green beans, mashed potatoes, yams, fresh rolls, and pumpkin pie. Sounds delicious!
We want to hear from our readers... What is your favorite holiday dish?
Please leave a “comment” at the end of the blog post.
For example: My favorite Thanksgiving dish is sweet potato crunch.
We can’t wait to read all the responses!
And by the way, don’t forget about The Salvation Army’s Thanksgiving Fund Drive. You can help provide a Thanksgiving Meal or Food Box to a needy family.
