Fiesta at Summer Day Camp!

Can you guess what today’s special post is about?

Here’s a hint….

Hola!

That’s what the children have learned to say in the Summer Day Camp at The Salvation Army Oak Cliff Community Center. This year’s Summer Day Camp theme is all about teaching children about the different countries around the world.

For the first week, they kicked off the camp by learning about Mexico and its culture.

Children have learned basic Spanish words like hello and goodbye; along with learning how to count one to ten.

This art project was a “treat”. What’s the perfect craft to make when studying Mexico and its culture?

A piñata!

Looks like the children had a blast! Look forward to seeing what country they will be studying in the upcoming weeks!!
